Caring for our community, Covid-19 update

The safety, hygiene and welfare of our customers, staff members in the Silver Service Real Estate community is our number one priority.

The situation surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) is at the forethought of our planning and we are constantly monitoring the current climate. Rest assured we are putting in additional measures to make sure that our staff and customers at Silver Service Real Estate are as safe as possible.

Below are some of the extra steps we are taking:

Discouraging Handshaking
We are discouraging staff and customers from handshaking when meeting or at Open for Inspections and Routine inspections and instead suggesting tapping elbows or feet. In fact, we are further encouraging a minimum 1.5m distance be kept between our staff and customers.

Quarantining of Staff
We have enacted a strict policy advising staff members not to enter the premises if they have any symptoms of cold or flu whatsoever. We have told all our staff to instead call (not visit) their GP or call the national hotline on 1800 020 080. We ask customers with any of the same flu symptoms to do the same please.

International travel
Any staff members returning from overseas will be self-quarantined from Silver Service Real Estate for 14 days. We ask that those international travellers please observe the government directive to self quarantine for 14 days after your return to Australia.  If you are unwell or are experiencing  cold or flu like symptoms please call  your GP or the national hotline of 1800 020 080.

Additional Staff Training
We are conducting additional staff briefings and training on safety and hygiene in this current climate. We have adopted a checklist as a reminder of the importance of hygiene and cleanliness, including regular and thorough hand washing, in order to keep our workplace clean, hygienic and as safe as possible. We will be reviewing and updating the checklist to ensure its continued response to the situation as it develops.

Reporting of Any Concerns
We are openly requesting and encouraging customers to report any incidents that they consider unsafe or unhygienic to our agency so that appropriate and swift action may be taken.

We take this situation extremely seriously and we aim to keep our working environment and interactions as safe and as hygienic as possible for our customers, staff and the community.

We acknowledge the fear and anxiety in the community and if this situation is causing you stress or anxiety, please seek help through friends, family and we are here for you.  You can also access assistance from the following:
