Our story
Silver Service has spent years in the thick of property, including managing it. That experience taught us where the system works, and where it quietly fails the people who own property. So we have changed what we do. Today we are an independent adviser and advocate for owners, and a mentor to the agencies and people who serve them.
Why the change? Because owning an investment property has become genuinely hard. More rules, more cost, less support, and an industry losing too many of its good people. Owners need someone in their corner who knows how it all works and has no other agenda. That is the role we have chosen.

Silver Service is led by Mariam McDonald. Across thirty years’ hard labour on every side of property, Mariam has worked as an owner, buyer, seller, property manager, owners corporation member and sales agent, and she is the author of a forthcoming book of true property-management stories, “A Dinosaur Broke Your Bathroom Door and 9 Other True Property Management Tails.”
